Generally speaking, we have one online moot once a month normally the first Friday of the month or corresponding to the moon calendar.online moots are generally learning moots, however we do have 'face to face' moots which are held at my home until an alternative venue can be sourced.
we, discuss at the last moot what future moots will be, sometimes, we do a craft activity, as in make corn dollies, spell weavers, dream catchers, goddess effigies, amulets etc etc... sometimes we have a learning moot whereby guest speakers come forward and teach us some of there knowledge. The kantion grove likes to alternate craft activity, to learning moots. craft activity either everyone contributes or a small fee is required to cover the cost of materials. again this is discussed in advance. we are open to suggestions for the grove, always looking to help the local environmental and cultural issues in the Kent area. update. moots are now online, via skype, once a month. this is due to the grove being so widespread. we have guest speakers, covering topics of expertise. we also meet 8 times a year. (locations vary please check our website for more information)
rituals? whats that?
well, our rituals are celtic based, using the celtic pantheon as our focal point. we do raise energies and send them to those that need it most.
we meet for the sabbats , the eightfold wheel of the year, however we do love samhain something bad, my home looks fab all done up in webbing and lights. at our rituals we cast circles, call elements and ancestors, before the ritual begins. normally everyone who participates comes robed, with an item to contribute. adds to ritual potency, not to mention adds that personal touch.
some of the sabbats i go to Stonehenge to be with my law members. this is normally the equinoxes and the solstices can be quite busy.
